1985 Bittner+Krull (B+K) founded by graduate engineers Ingo Bittner and Horand Krull.
The new company specializes in planning for automation technology in large industrial plants.
1988 Development of a software system for mobile reading.
The system is first used for regular recording of measurement data in the Siemens Villach (Austria) plant.
1989 Switch to energy sector with a system solution for mobile reading.
B+K realizes initial projects with meter manufacturer Heliowatt, becoming a system house for innovative solutions for mobile job processing.
1994 Development of a system for remote meter reading of special-contract customers.
In the mid-1990s, new database and transmission technologies and the cooperation with an institute of higher education in Munich trigger an innovation surge at B+K systems.
1999 Launch of the new Argos generation as a standard system for mobile job processing.
Thanks to its new system philosophy, Argos can be used in a range of different mobile processes in addition to reading.
2000 The rollout of the mobile systems for Techem-AG opens up new dimensions.
2002 Integration of the business processes "maintenance" and "fault clearance" for measuring systems.
Argos is the comprehensive system solution for remote reading and all mobile processes of measurement service providers and measuring station operators.
2004 Integration of business process "mobile collection".
First use of Argos for mobile billing processes.
2006 Integration of business processes "house connection", "network maintenance and network construction".
Argos thus controls the full range of mobile processes for enterprises in the energy sector.
2007 Smart metering pilot projects.
B+K offers the first tools for the new processes and sees itself with its system solutions more and more as a partner for greater energy efficiency.
2008 B+K joins SAP NetWeaver partner program.
B+K develops ABAP add-ons for SAP hosts and obtains NetWeaver certification for Argos Connector 6.1. The aim is to achieve end-to-end optimized system solutions for the business processes.
